The 12th Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival is scheduled to begin on October 25, with organizers preparing a four-day event focused on agriculture and environmental activities.
Yasin Ahmed, supervisor of the festival’s organizing committee, told Channel8 that the date could be changed if weather conditions are unfavorable. Food stalls and canopies have been fully allocated, while the distribution of stalls for agricultural produce and other products began today.
Unlike previous editions, this year’s festival will run for four days. Organizers said materials and items used throughout the event will be environmentally friendly, alongside several activities focused on environmental protection.
The 11th Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival began on October 30, 2025, and ran for three days, attracting more than 270,000 visitors. Organizers expect attendance to exceed 300,000 visitors this year.
The annual festival brings together farmers, producers, and visitors to showcase Halabja’s pomegranate harvest and other agricultural products.
The event has also become a platform for promoting local agriculture, tourism, and environmental activities in Halabja.
