A new book donation initiative is set to strengthen library collections and expand access to reading materials across Slemani and surrounding areas.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister carried out the delivery following Talabani's request.
Chamchamal Public Library is expected to particularly benefit from the initiative after a significant number of its books were damaged by flooding in the recent period.
The donation comes alongside a separate campaign announced by the Karim-i Alaka Foundation and the Jamal Irfan Cultural Institute, which aims to provide 100,000 books to educational institutions.
The separate 100,000-book initiative reflects broader efforts by cultural institutions in Slemani to increase access to books and educational resources.
Library collections can also face significant losses during natural disasters, making replacement and redistribution programs an important part of maintaining access to reading materials.
